Choosing from a field of 12 nominees, the National Toy Hall of Fame in New York announced this year's inductees are the Baby Nancy doll, sidewalk chalk and the game Jenga.
The museum said Baby Nancy was created by Shindana Toys in 1968 and became the best selling Black doll in Los Angeles by the end of the year, when it was distributed nationwide.
Sidewalk chalk was chosen because its one of the earliest examples of an artistic toy. Jenga is the classic "build a tower with making it fall" game with wooden blocks.
Among the nominees NOT chosen, Lite-Brite and Yahtzee.
