Today in 1998, Disney's Animal Kingdom opened in Orlando. It was the fourth park to be built at the Walt Disney World Resort that spreads over 500 acres.
The day before, Disney held a big dedication ceremony for the park with 2,000 people. Below is the ceremony that officially welcomed the park.
