American Idol is determined to continue despite the coronavirus crisis. ABC announced yesterday that the show would go on with remote performances.
While this weekend’s show will be a special clip show – where we’ll finally find out who America picked for the 20th spot – the April 26th episode will go live from various locations as the top 20 will compete via remote video. Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie, host Ryan Seacrest, and in-house mentor Bobby Bones also appear from their homes.
We’re not exactly sure how it’ll work, but we’ll get more details on the logistics at a later date.
