When Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller is on the field, he’s known for the way he tackles opposing QB’s, but when he is off it he’s actually noted for his incredible catches as a fisherman.
Problem is, it looks like—upon further review—that he is going to be flagged for what at first looked like a pretty amazing catch in the hammerhead shark he hauled.
According to TMZ Sports, Miller has been accused by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) of catching and then killing the shark. Miller denies he killed it, saying it was a catch-and-release expedition.
The complaint by PETA has led to an investigation by government officials, as the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has gotten involved.
“FWC has received the images and video and is looking into whether or not a violation occurred in this incident,” FWC Public Information Coordinator Rob Klepper told TMZ Sports.
Either way, looks like Miller can get his hooks into anything on or off the field.
