In what can only be called a terrible “fowl up,” KFC was forced to shut down most of its 900 locations in the UK and Ireland when they ran out of … chickens. It seems a new delivery company is to blame for the issue as they were ironing out all the kinks but finger-lickin’ fans were not happy about it.
“The chicken crossed the road, just not to our restaurants,” KFC’s British branch tweeted Sunday. They explain that they are working out the “complex” problem of getting fresh chickens out and have even set up a special website to keep track of open stores. But there’s no word yet on when the others might reopen.
