Clewiston Sugar Festival Cancelled Due To Coronavirus

The latest local event to be cancelled over Coronavirus concerns is the Clewiston Sugar Festival set to bring country music stars to the area on Saturday, March 21st.

The FREE event was supposed to bring country artists Justin Moore, Maddie and Tae, David Lee Murphy, and Muscadine Bloodline to Civic Park in Clewiston on Saturday, March 21st.

However, the festival shared on Facebook Wednesday morning that they would be cancelling in order to protect the town of Clewiston from exposure to Coronavirus.

The post says, "In an abundance of caution due to the recommendations regarding limiting potential exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and in keeping with the City of Clewiston’s recommendation to avoid large public events, the 2020 Clewiston Sugar Festival has been cancelled."

If you were planning on attending this year's Sugar Festival, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but we do understand their desire to keep the public safe.
