A Florida strip club announced they are giving away 10,000 face masks to help their customers fight against coronavirus.
After an outbreak on the west coast of Florida, Tampa based strip club, "Deja Vu Showgirls" came up with this clever promotion to keep their customers safe. The ad they ran stated, "FREE PROTECTIVE MASKS. First Come. First Serve. With Paid Admission".
The parent company, "Deja Vu Services Inc." announced a similar campaign at their Vegas location where that club gave away hand sanitizers to their patrons.
The club said this is its way of doing its part to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The general manager, Mark Figueroa, shared,
"An opportunity to help with the coronavirus scare strikes a special emotional chord with us. One of my close friends recently tested positive. While she’s likely to be just fine, I know many others will have a different fate, so we wanted to do something helpful."
“It might seem silly,” Figueroa said. “But we take the health of our guests very seriously."

While the CDC recommends the general public not use face masks to protect against the virus, it may just help comfort and ease the anxiety of some in the area.
According to Tampa Bay Times, as of Monday 12 Floridians had tested positive for the virus. Plus there are 115 tests pending and 302 people are currently being monitored in the state.
