BREAKING: Just days after Ultra Music Festival announced it would be "postponed", Miami city officials are now sharing Carnaval Miami, the annual Calle Ocho Festival, is also cancelled.
The decision to cancel Calle Ocho is also due to coronavirus fears and the city trying to minimize the potential spread of the virus.
Miami Commissioner, Manolo Reyes, tweeted the announcement around 8:45 am Friday morning.
Miami City Hall is also expected to have a news conference Friday morning to officially announce the news of both Ultra Music Festival and Calle Ocho Festival being cancelled.
Calle Ocho Festival was scheduled for March 15th. The annual festival attracts thousands of people each year.
