U.S. Coast Guard crews had to rescue a pilot from the Atlantic Ocean after his aircraft went down off the coast of South Florida!
The aircraft crashed about 18 miles east of Juno Beach. Thankfully, beachgoers watched the crash asnd were able to call for help. When crews arrived to the scene, they found pilot, 51-year old, Robert Lillard in a life raft.
He was transported to the Phil Foster Boat Ramp with no injuries. The coast guard does want to remind those traveling by land or sea to have a registered Personal Locator Beacon incase of an emergency.
