CityPlace Mellow Mushroom Permanently Closes Down

After months of struggling business, the Mellow Mushroom Pizzeria location in CityPlace permanently closed their doors on Monday.

The restaurant chain started 44 years ago in Atlanta and to date has grown to over 150 locations nationwide. This location was one of three in Palm Beach County, all operated by different franchise owners. The CityPlace owner, Mark Clark, also runs other Mellow Mushroom locations in Tennessee. He says that with the South Florida restaurant closing, he will have more time to focus on growing his spots in the greater Nashville area.

The Clark family wants to thank their wonderful customers and staff for the great years they had here. They also thank their staff for all their hard work and loyalty to the business since they first opened. The Clarks promise final checks will be mailed out this week.

If saying goodbye to this spot breaks your heart, you will be happy to know that there are no rumors of anything happening to the Delray Beach or Wellington locations! So there you have it! Eat, drink, and stay mellow.
