Dylan Scott Ignored Luke Bryan’s Call + Now They’re Tourmates

Country superstar Luke Bryan tapped Dylan Scott to join him on tour, and Dylan tapped the ignore button on his phone.

Thankfully, this story has a happy ending.

In a recent interview with CMT Radio, Dylan shared how he went from mowing his lawn to managing his summer plans.

“Funny story, I am out mowing my yard, and I am mad because it’s hot and my weed eater wouldn’t work. Right? So I am mad,” laughs Dylan.

“So I get one phone call from my manager, and I ignore it. I did. I was like, “Not right now,” says the “My Girl” singer. “She called back again. So, I was like, “Okay, I’ll answer it.” It was Luke, and he said, “Hey!” I said, “Hey!” He said, “What are you doing?” I said, “Man, I am mowing my yard. I am hot, I am aggravated, and he goes, “Well, how about you come out on tour with me this summer?”

“I was like, “Deal! Done!” says Dylan with excitement. “So, needless to say, I wasn’t mad anymore. I wasn’t even worried about the grass. So, it was kind of cool.”

We bet Dylan will be fast to answer all incoming calls in the future. Catch Dylan on the road with Luke this summer on the ‘Proud To Be Right Here’ tour, which kicks off July 8 in Syracuse, New York.

See if Dylan and Luke are headed to a town near you.
