The iHeartCountry Festival was teasing a big special guest for days before the show went down over the weekend in Austin, Texas. During the iHeartRadio “We’re All Country” Guitar Pull powered by RAM Trucks, Parker McCollum and Maddie and Tae performed covers of George Strait's hit songs. After their performance, McCollum introduced the special guest, none other than the king of country music George Strait.
Strait walked onto the stage as thousands screamed in excitement at the big surprise reveal. He performed one of his latest songs "The Weight of the Badge" along with his hit song "Amarillo By Morning." After he left the stage, Lunchbox encouraged Amy to go up to Strait as he is her favorite country artist. So Amy did and she had an adorable fangirl moment with Strait and his wife, as Lunchbox documented the whole thing with photos. When Amy recalled the situation backstage after it happened, she was all smiles and couldn't say enough good things about their interaction. She noted that Strait even assumed she knew his wife Norma, and it made her so happy.
