Dan + Shay Win Best Country Duo/Group Performance At 2020 Grammy Awards

Dan + Shay took home their second Grammy award on Sunday night (January 26) a for best country duo/group performance for their hit song "Speechless."

The duo's Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney were visibly emotional as they took the stage to accept their award. The love song was inspired by their wives so naturally they were the first to be thanked during their speech.

"Thank you to my wife, Abby, who's in the crowd down there, for inspiring every song that we write, for inspiring everything we do in our lives," Smyers said, adding, "Shay's wife Hannah who's at home in Nashville, we love you."

Mooney added a few remarks himself, shouting out his wife who is at home pregnant with the couple's second baby. "My wife- we're about to have our second baby- so baby, I love you so much," he says, adding, "I love you Asher. Thank you all so much."

"Speechless" was featured on Dan + Shay's self-titled third studio album. The hit was up against Brooks & Dunn's "Brand New Man" with Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne's "I Don't Remember Me (Before You)," Little Big Town's "The Daughters" and Maren Morris' "Common" with Brandi Carlile.

This marks Dan + Shay's second Grammy win. Their crossover hit, "Tequila" won best country duo/group performance during the 2019 Grammys Premiere Ceremony.
