A Crane Collapsed On One Of The World's Biggest Cruise Ships

I imagine that this put a damper on some people's vacation to the Bahamas. A crane has collapsed onto one of the biggest cruise ships in the world and left eight people injured. The 6,300 person capacity cruise ship was in a dry dock in the Bahamas when the incident happened on Monday.

At the time of the collapse, there were only crew members on board the ship and no guests were present. The eight people that have sustained injuries are believed to be dockyard workers. A construction crane that was on the dock came down and smashed into the stern of the boat. Royal Carribean owns the boat and said they were accessing the damage to the $1.3 billion dollar boat.

Apparently, the ship finished its last passenger cruise on Sunday and was at the port undergoing routine maintenance and was scheduled to be moving to Miami for the winter schedule.
