"Coming To America 2" Is Closer To Happening

It looks like “Coming to America 2” is finally becoming a reality. In case you missed it, Craig Brewer has been brought on to direct the sequel to the 1988 comedy. “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris is rewriting a script by the film’s original writers Barry Blaustein and David Sheffield. 

In the sequel, Prince Akeem – played by Eddie Murphy – learns about a long-lost son, and he has to come to America to meet the young man. At this point, Paramount wants to bring back the original cast, which includes Shari Headley, Arsenio Hall, and James Earl Jones.

So far, John Amos hasn’t been formally contacted to participate in the second round. When and if they do ask him to participate, he’s got plenty of ideas for the film. Check him out below...
