Judge Judy is the highest-paid host on television…by FAR. In its annual list, “Forbes” reports that Judge Judy hit number one for the first time this year after selling the rights to her show's extensive library for an estimated $100-million dollars. That's on top of the $47-million she pulls down for hosting her show and producing “Hot Bench.”
“Many people, as I did in the beginning, get stuck with a job they don’t really like,” Sheindlin said at 2017’s Forbes Women’s Summit. “If you’re not doing something that you love to do, find something that you love to do, because it will make your whole life different.” The same could be said for $147-mill, Judge Judy!
As for who else is enjoying a nicely fattened bank account every year, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is second with a haul of $87 and-a-half million dollars (“Forbes” calls it her most lucrative year yet). Rounding out the top five? Dr. Phil McGraw (who rakes in $77.5-million), Ryan Seacrest (he collects $74-million) and Steve Harvey, who racks up $44-million.
