Kacey Musgraves Plays with Puppies, Answers Serious Questions

Kacey Musgraves loves siracha and singing Celine Dion on karaoke. But those are just two things the “Slow Burn” singer revealed during a recent Buzzfeed question-and-answer session, which also happened to include a slew of puppies Kacey.

When she wasn’t loving on the pooches, the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year nominee opened up about her thoughts on candy corn, ghosts and brining inclusivity to country music. “There is so much focus on gender equality in country music, and it’s such a tiring subject for me because, to me, there are so many areas of inequality in country music that I want to see things happen in,” Kacey says.

“I think there should be more country artists of color. I think there should be country artists that are representing the LGBTQ community from their perspective…. Hopefully, over time that will open and if not, then people will turn elsewhere to find the music that inspires them.” She goes on to address husband Ruston Kelly, whom she says she knew was right “right away.” “It’s awesome. We support each other. It’s hard sometimes because we’re both artists. We’re about to not see each other for a while, but it’s all good,” she says.

Kace’s Oh, What a World: Tour continues with international stops through November 6 before coming to America in early 2019.
