Real-Life “Vampire” Drinks Blood And Sleeps In A Coffin

Andreas Bathory from Romania believes that vampires walk among us – and that’s because he’s one of them. Andreas is a real-life “vampire,” drinking blood and occasionally sleeping in a coffin. He says that he discovered he was a vampire after the infamous warlord “Vlad The Impaler” came to him in a dream.

Andreas not only lives on the grounds of “Dracula’s Castle,” AKA Bran Castle in Transylvania, he’s all about vampire traditions that he says are more than 600 years old. He sometimes sleeps in a coffin to "connect with the souls of the dead," and, of course, he drinks blood. But he’s not just biting into random peoples’ necks – he actually gets the blood from donors he calls “black swans.”

He admits he met his fair share of hate for going public about his lust for blood – but he’s used to the haters, who he says are just “jealous.” When he’s not the “vampire lord,” he works as a psychologist and fashion designer.
